The Fairlane Products website is designed to provide users with a wide range of product information including technical specitications, CAD models, and pricing. To become more familiar with the landscape of the site this overview is meant to allow the user to take full advantage of every available feature.
To further clarify any terminology used throughout the site, Fairlane Products also provides a glossary of industry terms. |

General Menu
Allows the user access to all the different sections of the Fairlane Products website including the catalog request page, recent company news and press releases, product case studies, the website help page, as well as the contact section of the site. |

Fairlane Logo / Return Home
The Fairlane logo will be present at all times when navigating throughout the site. If at anytime the user wishes to return to the Fairlane Products home page, simply click on the logo. |

Quick Part Number Search
This feature allows the user to search the Fairlane Products website for a specific catalog standard part number. Full or partial part numbers can be entered, which then returns all possible matches to the entered query. |

Product Selection
This area allows the user to begin the product selection process by narrowing down specific product characteristics. With each selection the user will be presented with different, more detailed product options. This function is beneficial for users who do not know the exact part number of the product they need. |

| Product Selection Pages |
Main Product Navigation
The main product navigation displays all the product lines currently offered by Fairlane Products. This area allows the user to gather some general information about the different lines and serves as the starting point for selecting a specific product.

| Inch / Metric Option |
 |
Many of the products offered by Fairlane Products are available in both inch and metric sizes and threads. This option is available at the beginning of the product selection process. |

Product Category Pages (Sub Navigation)
After a user makes a selection from the main product navigation, they will be presented with more detailed, category specific options. These pages contain both broad product line information as well as more detailed product specific data to help the user determine the right part for their application.

History Line (Bread Crumb)
Present on all of the product category pages and techsheets, the history line shows the user a recap of all the selections made in the navigation process. At any time the user may retrace their steps by clicking on the appropriate link in the history line, which will redirect them to the screen that was accessed previously. |

Product Line Information
This area provides some general information about the product line as well as some common applications the product may be used in. |

Tool Tips
The tool tips offer the user more specific information about the different product groups available on each product category page. This information can be helpful in differentiating one product group from another. |

Product Groups
On each product category page, there are several different, more speicific product group options for the user to choose from. Selection of a product group with either direct the user to more detailed product category pages or to a techsheet where dimentional data and part number specific information can be reviewed. |

Line Drawing
The line drawings displays all the pertinent features of a particular product and is dimentioned to correspond with the part number table below it. |

3D CAD Model Viewer
The 3D CAD model viewer allows the user to visually inspect a part number without having to download the model itself. The user can pan, rotate, and zoom the rendered model to get a closer look at details and features. |

Model On / Off and Hyperview Feature
These buttons turn the 3D CAD model viewer on and off. The Hyperview option expands the viewer window to the size of the user's computer screen, which allows for closer examination of details and features of the part. To exit the Hyperview, press the escape key on the keyboard. |

Print Page
The print page button reformats the current techsheet page to make printing easier. Included is the techsheet's line drawing, technical info, part number table, and company contact information. |

CAD Download
The CAD download button allows the user to download 2D or 3D part specific CAD data for use in their projects or for inspection. A variety of CAD software formats are available SolidWorks, IGES, Pro/E, STEP, etc. |

Technical Information
The technical information button displays product specific information relative to the part numbers on the techsheet. This can include additional hardware, heat treat values, finishing elements, and any other special instructions the user should be aware of. |

Pricing / Ordering
Selecting the pricing icon navigates the user to the part number specific ordering page. However, because Fairlane Products no longer sells directly to the end user, the user should make note of the part number and contact a distributor or reseller for pricing. OEMs and distributors may contact Fairlane Products directly for pricing details. |

Part Number List
Lists all the part numbers relative to the techsheet. Selecting a part number from the list allows the user to view the corresponding CAD model configuration either in the 3D CAD model viewer or by downloading it. |
