FAIRLANE PRODUCTS INTRODUCES A FULL RANGE OF WIRE ROPE LANYARD ASSEMBLIES

Fairlane Products, Inc.(Fraser, MI) has announced introduction of a full range of wire rope lanyard assemblies. These wire rope lanyard assemblies are used to attach quick release pins to a fixture or frame, to prevent the pins from being misplaced while they are not in use. All of the wire rope lanyard assemblies are made from 7 x 7 stainless steel wire and are available either uncovered (bare cable) or covered. The vinyl covered assemblies are available in either clear, black or green. The 3/64" wire is covered to 1/16" diameter. The 1/16" wire is covered to 1/8" diameter. They are available with three different tab styles including rectangular, teardrop, eyelet. The tabs allow the user to connect the cable assemble to a frame or fixture so it does not become separated. A lanyard with loops on both ends is also available. The standard lengths of all assemblies are 6", 8", 10" and 12". The rated break strength of the 3/64" wire is 270 pounds, and the 1/16" wire is 480 pounds. Cable assemblies using eyelets are rated at 30 pounds. All tabs and eyelets are manufactured from 300 series stainless steel. All cable sleeves are manufactured from zinc plated copper. In addition to the standard parts, we can provide custom lanyards based on your exact requirements. To see our entire line of our wire rope lanyard assemblies, please visit www.fixtureworks.net.

FAIRLANE PRODUCTS CREATES A LINE OF RECEPTACLES FOR USE WITH THEIR QUICK RELEASE BALL LOCK PINS

Fairlane Products, Inc.(Fraser, MI) has announced creation of a line of receptacles for use with their quick release ball lock pins.

These flanged receptacles provide a permanent and proper mating hole for quick release ball lock pins. They are designed for use on materials and in applications where the pin does not have anything to lock against.

Because the pin does not protrude out the bottom of the receptacles, they are ideal for blind-hole applications. The receptacles can be mounted with screws, rivets or bolts. They are made from 303 stainless steel.

In addition to the flanged receptacles, we are offering a new line of end caps that fit over the end of the quick release ball lock pin and allow the pins to be used in applications where the receiving hole is not within tolerance or is out of round.

These receiver caps can replace cotter pins and hitch pins to allow you to take advantage of quick changing and fieldwork without tools. The caps are made from 303 stainless steel.

FAIRLANE PRODUCTS CREATES A FULL RANGE OF QUICK RELEASE BALL LOCK PINS

Fairlane Products, Inc.(Fraser, MI) has announced creation of full range of quick release ball lock pins. These quick release pins have a wide range of applications in fastening, locating, and alignment applications. The pins will not release until the button on the handle is depressed offering secure and safe fastening. Once the button is depressed, the balls retract into the pin allowing the pin to be inserted or removed into or out of a hole.

Because they are positive locking, they can replace traditional fasteners such as nut and bolts, cotter pins, hitch pins, etc. They also allow the user to insert and remove the pins without the use of tools making them ideal for field work and quick change operations.

These pins are available in three shank materials to meet a wide range of application needs.

17-4 SS - Made from heat treated 17-4 stainless steel, they are designed for applications where higher shear strengths are required. Because they are made from stainless steel, they offer superior corrosion resistance over alloy steel. This combination of strength and corrosion resistance makes it a good choice for a wide range of demanding applications.

304 SS - Made from non-hardened 304 stainless steel, these pins are not designed to be used where shear strengths are demanding. While these pins offer lower shear strengths than other materials, they are strong enough to meet the needs for many applications. This material also offers very good corrosion resistance.

4130 Alloy Steel - Made from heat treated and plated 4130 alloy steel, these pins are ideal where high strength is required and environmental factors are not an issue.

There are four standard handle styles. Our standard handles are made from aluminum alloy and are anodized black. They are available in Ring, Button, T and L configurations. Handle choice is based on clearance, use and appearance. The Ring and Button handles are also available in stainless steel.

FAIRLANE PRODUCTS ADDS NEW METRIC SIZES TO COUNTERBORE GRIPPER LINE

Fairlane Products, Inc. (Fraser, MI) has announced the addition of new metric sizes to its line of counterbored workholding serrated grippers. The expanded line includes metric sizes from 12mm to 24mm round and square. The metric line complements the existing line that features sizes ranging from ½ to 1-inch, square and round. The entire counterbore gripper line includes grippers in various tooth patterns (coarse, fine, extra fine). They are available in high-speed tool steel, heat treated to Rc 62. The metric counterbore grippers are part of a broad range of both metric and inch workholding and positioning components.
Counterbored grippers are mounted utilizing a socket head cap screw from the serrated-face side. This feature allows the versatility and options to help eliminate the need to completely tear down the fixture to replace the gripper—hence increased speed in fixture building and set up time for a wide variety of workholding applications. Fairlane Products’ grippers penetrate and “grip” the workpiece for secure machining operations. They provide holding power with minimum wear on jaws, clamp fingers and positioning points.
Fairlane Products designs, manufactures and stocks a wide range of standard workholding and positioning components, all built to promote higher productivity through faster speeds and feeds. In addition, the company designs and manufactures serrated grippers, encompassing hardened high-speed tool steel or solid carbide diamond pattern grippers, low-profile edge grippers, single point and straight serration grippers.
